Allied Arts of Whatcom County, 1418 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham, opens “2009 Juried Artist Series, 7 Ways of Seeing,” in a reception from 6-10pm. The photography show features the works of Doug Waugh, Geoff Peterson, Donald Simpson, Ken Osthimer, Tore Ofteness, Gary Meader, and Matt Vogt. Shown at the left: Matt Vogt’s entry.
Art on the Boulevard, 210 W. Evergreen Boulevard, Suite 300 in Vancouver, WA, opens with an artist reception from 5-9pm with a solo show featuring Northwest artist Christopher Mathie in “Essential Shapes,” on view through November 28. Shown: Ready When You Are.
New paintings by Tyson Anthony Roberts opens at the Fremont Coffee Company, 459 N. 36th. Street in Seattle, in a reception from 6-9p. The show continues through November 30.
Opening at the Gossamer Collective, 1406 18th. Ave. in Seattle, is “Two Sides to Every Story…,” works by Counsel Langely. The exhibit runs through November 30 and opens November 6 from 7-9pm.
Michèle Van Slyke and Solia Hermes, Each an accomplished metal sculptor, Michèle and her daughter, Solia, share a gallery at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts, 151 Winslow Way on Bainbridge, exploring “the uniqueness of familiar grounds.” Their work focuses on their connections to Bainbridge Island, and to one another. Also featured is “Women Behind the Lens,” five artists who have been exploring similar territory. Reception: Friday, Nov. 6, 6-8 p.m.
Insights Gallery, 516 Commercial Avenue in Anacortes, is open for the Anacortes art walk from 6-9pm with “Petite Pieces.” The show runs through December 31. Shown at the right: LeAnn Adams, Life is a Bowl of Cheeries.
Don Hazeltine opens in a solo exhibition at the Roby King Gallery, 176 Winslow Way E. on Bainbridge Island, in an artist reception from 6-8pm.
