The street will be closed to traffic, and in conjunction with Jazz Night the merchants will provide live jazz music on the street. Frayed Wire is a one day event bringing together people at the intersection of art and technology. 9:00am - 6:00pm day camp at Youngstown Cultural Arts Center and 7:00pm - 12:00pm evening reception at 911 Media Arts Center.

Pilchuck Open House and Pilchuck Society Day. A once-a-year opportunity for individuals to visit Pilchuck Glass School’s campus at 1201 316th St. NW in Stanwood. Visitors can tour the studios, meet artists, watch demonstrations of hot, warm and cold glassworking while enjoying the school’s forested setting. As donors, the members of the Pilchuck Society are extended exclusive benefits and free admission. Tickets are $20 for adults; children 12 and under are admitted free. “In Creation the Raven Sings,” at 2pm. Northwest Coast Native artists Rande Cook and Francis Dick will bring their culture alive by connecting the elements of art and song The event, which is co-sponsored by the Arctic Raven Gallery, Skagit Valley College and The San Juan Island Library, will be held at the Friday Harbor Grange and is free and open to the public.
