Group Exhibit Opens at Childhood’s End Gallery in Olympia

childhood A new group exhibit opens April 28 from 5–10pm and April  29 from 12-8pm during the Olympia Spring Arts Walk at the Childhood’s End Gallery, 222 4th. Avenue W. Live entertainment will be provided by PC & J acoustic guitar and vocals, Ann Finn piano and Pat Cole & Jamie Jenson. The show runs through May 28.

bluewhole“Transformation and Adventure,” on view through the month  of October  at Blue Whole Gallery, 129 W. Washington in Sequim, is new work by Robert Bowling and Terianne Stratton. They will showcase unique art with creative transformation and spirit of adventure in the front windows throughout the month of October.   Meet the artists in a reception from 5-8pm. Artists Claire Putney and Kristie Smith bring their unique artwork to the Burien Arts Gallery, 826 S.W. 152 St., in October. Artist receptions have been changed to the first Friday of the month at the Burien Arts Gallery. Meet Claire and Kristie at the Gallery on Friday, Oct. 3., 4-9 p.m. The exhibit runs through November 2.

Anderson’s stone sculptures, Michael Dickter’s oil paintings, Keith Lazelle’s photographs, and Chris Maynard’s mixed media. Some of the pieces in the show are at the left.




theislandThe Island Gallery, 400 Winslow Way E. on Bainbridge Island, opens with a reception from 6-8pm for Lisa Wederquist’s “Desert Rhythms.” The gallery says, “The exhibit features paintings on linen, paper and canvas that capture the essence of the Southwest: Desert sky, wild grasses and the search for water.” Music at the reception is by Peter Spencer & Friends.
