Inspirational prayer wheels on view at Good Earth Pottery

goodearth Chris Moench’s award-winning prayer wheels will be featured at Good Earth Pottery, 1000 Harris Avenue in Bellingham,  through the month of September. Each vessel carries a message to inspire, comfort and move the viewer in these times of uncertainty. Prayer wheels have been used for over 1000 years by Buddhists and people from all walks of life. Buddhist teachers and the ancient texts expound the profound benefits of the prayer wheel for its ability to quickly harmonize the environment, increase compassion, encourage a peaceful state of mind, and assist practitioners on their journeys to enlightenment. Patsy Thola Chamberlain ceramics at Good Earth Pottery

good Colorful, hand-built ceramics by Patsy Thola Chamberlain are on view at Good Earth Pottery, 1000 Harris Avenue in the Fairhaven District of Bellingham, through the month of April. Her work was featured in five galleries during the recent NCECA show in Seattle.

“Postscripts from the Edge” at Collective Visions in Bremerton

Collective Visions Gallery, 331 Pacific Avenue in Bremerton, is showing “Postscripts from the EDGE,”  an exhibition showcasing artwork by 16 graduates of the 2009 Artist Trust EDGE Program.  The exhibit will run from August 4th through the 28th, with an opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy a short presentation by several of the artists during First Friday, August 6, from 5pm until 9pm. The participating artists are Kathie Bliss, Tracy Boyd, Minh Carrico, Jeanne Dodds, Jessica Dodge, Miguel Edwards, Sara Everett, Joy Hagen, Shaw Osha, Teresa Rae, Victoria Raymond, Anne Simernitski, Thomas Schworer, Juli Sipe, and Grace Willard.
