Crossing Borders Opens at Waterworks in Friday Harbor

waterCROSSING BORDERS, an Invitational jewelry show featuring jewelers from America and Canada opens at Waterworks Gallery, 315 Argyle Avenue in Friday Harbor. Featured American Jewelers: Maru Almeida, Laurie Hall, Micki Lippe, Suzanne Osborn, Stephanie Tomczak and Myung Urso. Featured Canadian Jewelers: Lydia Buxton, Bridget Catchpole, Suzanne Nairne, Louise Perrone, and Susan Remmant . Each of the invited artist was asked to investigate the concept of a border and crossing a borders while looking at the similarities and differences that occur between people living "across the border".  This show hopes to demonstrate the parallels and contrast between nations and artists. Reception for the artists, Friday July 21 4-7 pm. Artists talk/walk of the show  Saturday, July 22nd 11.30 – 1.30 pm
