The First Friday Artwalk is Friday, March 3 from 6 – 9 pm.

Cut paper artist Ann Reid will join ACME Gallery in March. Her detailed paper work garners inspiration from the environmental challenges particular to the rural landscape of Skagit County, the Cascade Mountains and the Salish Sea.

 

620 Commercial Ave., Burton Jewelers

For the March Artwalk, Burton Jewelers, will open a new show titled “Two Perspectives.” This show is an exhibit of wildflower and landscape paintings by mother-and-son artists Linda Henley and James Keul, in watercolor and oil paintings.  March is Burton Jewelers anniversary month celebrating 87 years of serving Anacortes with custom Jewelry and fine table and giftware!  Specials will be offered throughout the store during the Artwalk and all month long.  Refreshments will be served during the Artwalk.

Scott Milo Gallery presents a collection of Dederick Ward’s paintings from 1990 to Present.  The early paintings draw on Ward’s geological background, the internal and external landscapes of his adopted Washington State. Next was a long period of abstracted landscape and many plein air works executed in the field with fellow artists. The mountains, rivers, wetlands and agriculture were his passion and his subject matter. Also showing are oils by Brooke Borcherding, Damon Brown, Matt Dollahite and Melissa Jander. The Majestic Inn and Spa presents paintings by Pien Ellis.  Ellis works in a variety of mediums and specializes in images that represent the Skagit Valley.
