Al Currier show opens at Simon Mace Gallery May 5
Simon Mace Gallery, 236 Taylor Street in Port Townsend opens “Glow” featuring famed Washington artist Alfred Currier in a reception during the Port Townsend Gallery Walk from 5:30-8:30pm. The reception will also celebrate the artist’s birthday. A lifelong artist and resident of Anacortes since 1991, Currier is best-known for his vibrant palette and thickly textured impasto canvases which often depict migrant workers tending Skagit Valley daffodil, tulip or iris fields against a backdrop of dramatic skies and Cascade foothills. The show runs through May 28.
