Take a look at a fun app for kids for your tablet

donkey I hope you don’t mind indulging me in a bit of a vanity post as this is about an app that was produced by my daughter Stacey. I’m posting more as a proud mama than an art blogger. I’m sure many of you have discovered  the wonderful world of Apple and Android tablets and phones.  I’m discovering more and more just how many interesting art apps there are, and hope to bring you a review soon of apps for the Pacific Northwest Art scene. For those of you with children or grandchildren, my daughter’s Dress Up Donkey application is a delightful storyboard type of app, where children can place a donkey in a variety of different backgrounds, and add all kinds of cute elements to the donkey.  This is part of a larger app she has been developing called the InstaSpanish Kids App, which beat out hundreds of other apps to be selected as one of the top  “Select Apps” by Sony in the Adobe/Sony App Challenge. She is also featured on the Ematic Funtab tablet for kids, as one of the pre-installed apps on over 30,000 units they produced for Christmas. Not bad for her first endeavor into the app business!
