Our National Game – baseball and art at the Seattle Art Museum July 16 thru November 27
The Seattle Art Museum brings together three key works of art that have helped to define the U. S. through the institution of baseball since its introduction in the nineteenth century. Each of these works encapsulates the nation’s values that were at times either reinforced or challenged by the sport. The featured artists are Douglas Tilden, Norman Rockwell and Jacob Lawrence.
