“Celebrating 70” at Facere Jewelry Art Gallery August 19
Karen Facere, owner of Facere Jewelry Art Gallery, located in the City Centre 1420 Fifth Ave., celebrates her 70th birthday and 38 years in business with a special show opening on Thursday, August 19 from 4 - 9:30pm. Seventy artists will be represented at the show, each capturing a single year from 1940 to the present in a single jewelry item. 
Additionally a book, Celebrating 70: 70 years by 70 will be available at the gallery. Karen has spent the last year writing assorted anecdotal stories about her years in retail and has posted the chapters on her web site. A Business Survivor’s Tale, tells of good times, bad times, scary times, and successful times. Does this woman look like she’s 70? No way. Shown: 1990 Super Nova by Karen McCreary.
